Chelsea is a district located in the west part of Manhattan in New York.

The area is mostly residential, with a mix of apartments, buildings, real estate projects and townhouses. Many retail businesses in Chelsea, reflect the ethnic and social diversity of the population. Chelsea is also known as one of the world art centers of the city, with over 200 galleries in the neighborhood. However, from 2015, there is a growing gap in income between the rich living in luxury buildings and the poor living in real estate projects, and they are sometimes in front of each other.
